Late Night Karaoke

Two of my friends who went into the Marines nearly four years ago are both in town. Josh is on vacation and Alex came up due to the death of our friend Seth Edwards.

Sunday was the memorial which I have yet to blog. I think I may just keep it as a private memory. I don't think many of my readers will mind all that much.

But Sunday night the three of us went to an Irish Pub "Murphys" a few blocks from my house and got piss drunk on rum and cream ale of some british draught.

By my 4th glass of beer and a warm up shot of Captain's we were all ready to go.

To start off we did "Power of Love" by Huey Lewis and the News then When I Come Around" by Greenday.

Third was Jump by One Hit Wonders Kriss Kross

Fourth was my solo with "You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You" which may be Dean Martin

And to top it off we did My Generation by The Who.

Our friend Ben met us there a little later and did a couple of songs with us and it was great fun. We drank to Seth and we wandered the neighborhood.

It was a fitting night to honor our rockstar friend.

Comments

Jeremy: thanks so much for your comments about Seth, and being his friend. it sounds like your party with Alex and Josh was just the kind of event that my boy would have encouraged. he had a lot of fine friends and what better measure of a man is there than good people love him?
