Animals Suffering Katrina

As I mentioned in an earlier post I have been very concerned with not only the humans effected by Hurricane Katrina but also the animals which would suffer too.

 

I was glad to see Boing Boing mentioning them in their post and pointing blog readers to the following aid groups dealing with animals effected by the floods.

Please donate any sort of items that will help these animals in distress. According to the sites money is not the only thing they need.

Today I received an e-mail informing me that a colleague has volunteered with the Best Friends Animal Society, and will be leaving this weekend for Mississippi to join the massive animal rescue effort in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
